I run a Shopify store and have been experimenting with different sales pages and checkouts, which is great for making sure I’m getting the best conversions possible, but makes things a bit trickier with pixel tracking.
Fortunately, the Facebook pixel can track across domains. It’s as simple as putting your pixel on any page on any domain you want data to be sent from.
I recently started experimenting with SamCart and found that my pixel wasn’t registering data from it.
It turns out that, any time you install the pixel on a new domain, you have to go into:
Data Sources > Your Pixel
and you will see a warning message saying that the pixel is receiving events from a new domain.
After putting the domain on your “allow list” (there should be a button the warning message to do this), the data from your new domain will start registering in your account.
